Temi Folaranmi, Vice President and Therapeutic Area Lead for Vaccines Medical and Clinical Affairs at GSK, provides strategic leadership to a team of physicians, pharmacists, epidemiologists, and scientists. He engages with various vaccine stakeholders to inform scientific knowledge andthe utilization of vaccines to prevent diseases in the United States.

Temi has experience in medical affairs strategy and field execution, development strategy, and business development. Within his role, Temi is involved in the development and execution of vaccines for infants, children, and adults to prevent measles, Rotarix, MMR, RSV, and the flu.

He has always been passionate about delivering innovative vaccines and medicines to populations with unmet medical needs. Before his experience at GSK, he worked at the United Nations Population fund in Nigeria, where he worked with adolescent health and HIV. Temi served in an infectiousdisease control program at the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) and was Executive Director and Lead of Global Medical Affairs at Merck. While at Merck, he led the development and execution of the company’s strategy for Pneumococcal Vaccines.

Temi holds a Master of Public Health from HarvardUniversity and an MPP (Master of Public Policy) from the University ofOxford. Β He is also a public health physician by training and a medical epidemiologist.
